“Fascia in a NEW LIGHT: Plastination for Fascia Anatomy Education“
Tuesday, March 10, 2020: 6:00-7:45 pm
Presented by:
Rachelle L. Clauson, CMT, BCTMB
Join us for a behind the scenes look at the Fascial Net Plastination Project (FNPP), a three-year collaborative effort of the BODY WORLDS, Fascia Research Society, Somatics Academy, and the Plastinarium, with photographer, film coordinator, and volunteer dissector, Rachelle L. Clauson. She will discuss the challenge of conceptualizing and visualizing the fascial system and how the FNPP is attempting to create 3D plastinates to demonstrate the many intimate fascial relationships in the human body which are often oversimplified or omitted from images and drawings in books. The three year project is taking place at the Plastinarium laboratory in Guben, Germany. For more information: www.fasciaresearchsociety.org/ Plastination.
