Dr. Justin Chan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California, San Diego where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He stayed in San Diego to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree at UCSD. After medical school, Dr. Chan moved to Chicago, Illinois, and completed his Internship and Orthopaedic Residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Finally, Dr. Chan completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Hand Surgery at the world- renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Chan will be reviewing small joint arthroplasty during his talk. We will be discussing when to perform these surgeries; the various options available for replacement of the MP, PIP and DIP joints; and the outcomes of these options.
